Chemistry Lab

Today we did one of the final Chemistry labs. We learned how to calculate gravity on an object. The formula is

T=2π √L/g.

T= time of one cycle  L=length G= Acceleration caused by gravity

The way that we found this was by swinging a pendulum at a specific angle. We time how long it took to go from one end of the measuring tape to the other with the string at a certain angle. Recording all of this info and then getting the average of the times. We thought the experiment was less entertaining then the others also we  thought that it was less informative. we did, though, think it was cool that we could calculate for G.
